Movie Review: Heyy Babyy

Sorry for the late review folks, unlike other well known critics, we don't get invited to red carpet events or pre-screenings, maybe some day. Until then, enjoy our next day reviews!!

Heyy Babyy like it's lead actor Akshay Kumar has a huge likeability factor associated with it. There's tons of goofiness in the film which ensures a lot of laughs and saves the movie despite those melodramatic scenes where the three guys act like the little girl's daddy....

Movie Review: Buddha Mar Gaya

Rakhi Sawant speaks out from her heart yet she gets so irritating at times that I could not garner enough strength to go and watch Buddha Mar Gaya. Her pre-release interviews kept me wondering whether she understands what she really says. She might be very popular among masses and as Anupam Kher said we should not ignore her upcoming celebrity status the way we did for Himesh Reshammiya. Still it's not good enough to draw one to theater to watch her movie even though it stars some of the comic giants like Anupam Kher, Paresh Rawal and Om Puri. So, I gave it a pass and have just compiled reviews from across the web. Watch it at your own risk.

Movie Review: Superbad

What better way to end the summer than watch a coming of age story of two never-been-kissed dorks as they connive to end their school life on a high note. Judd Apatow and his entourage's, Superbad, a follow up to the hugely successful Knocked Up, has suddenly brought back those raunchy, foul language movies back in fashion. And I'm not complaining:-)

Movie Review: Marigold

Although Marigold never looked promising, I did not expect that the movie would not even get released in the Bay Area where even Buddha Mar Gaya got released this Friday. That too despite the fact that it stars Salman Khan and Ali Larter. Anyway, I am in no position to write any kind of review on Marigold. So, what I have done is compiled a few reviews from the web for your reference. Here you go...

Mirror Mirror on the Wall : A review of Chak De India

The state of Maine in the United States is a magical place. No where is the water as clear, or is as blue. No where the sky as inspiring. While in Maine it seems that one is part of one of God’s masterpiece paintings. One walks in humility completely in awe of nature. This weekend I took off from Teterboro airport (TEB) on my maiden  flight after getting my pilot license (sports). The weather was bad on Friday and my friend who is a chicken at heart right away began to draw parallels with JFK Jr’s tragic flight. It took a while to get her on the plane. I assured her that unlike JFK Jr I would fly mostly IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) and not  VFR (Visual Flight Rules). I also reminded her that I don’t do drugs nor do I consume intoxicating drinks. Moreover the plane we were flying, I told her, was brand spanking new and with the latest technology (unlike JFK Jr’s hand me down plane). With a little caution, the flight was very uneventful, we got to enchanting Maine safe and sound.
