I think this was one of the most awaited movies of this year, because of the pairing of Salman Khan and Govinda under the direction of comedy master David Dhawan. The movie is a copy of the Hollywood flick 'Hitch' starring Will Smith but which movie isn't. Most of the movies movies in Indian cinema are copies of Hollywood films barring some exceptions who still have some creating thinking left in them. Like the other 90% of the copied films, this also fails but not entirely.

The first half of the movie starts of showing Prem (Salman Khan) as the love guru who helps men with their love life and in comes Bhasskar (Govinda) playing a downright lose seeking for help. There are two sequences in the first half of the movie which made the movie look really dumb and those were the parts of Bhaskar trying to convince Prem to help him(especially the rocket sequence-watch the movie, it was pointless) and the whole Chotta Don sequence. It just dragged the movie and it wasn't even funny. Chotta Don only had one funny line and that was it.

Anyways, as Prem is helping Bhaskar with his love life, he starts to fall in love with a nosy journalist played by Lara Dutta, but one problem. She has a kid. The 2nd half of the movie really does pick and makes the movie atleast watchable. Some really funny parts and great lines are acted out by Salman Khan and Govinda. The dance sequences between Prem and Bhaskar are absolutely hilarious and their chemistry is really amazing. Katrina Kaif and Lara Dutta hold their ground in the movie, but none are too dazzling. Salman Khan and Govinda overshadow them with their performances.

The songs in the movie are all really catchy songs. None of them have smart lyrics, and all songs have some great music which makes you want to listen to them over and over. Exception of the one song 'Maria Maria' which to me was very annoying. Couple of the songs are more enjoyable while watching the movie rather than just listening to it. For example the song, 'Soni De Nakhre'.

All and all, I would say I was split on this movie. It had some entertaining parts and some parts where you just did not want to watch the movie. It is what we call a "Paisa Vasool" movie. You get what you paid for, entertainment. But for me not the greatest entertainment. If you want some laughs with family or friends, go and watch the movie but don't go in expecting a better movie than 'Hitch' or the greatest storyline. So for my split review, I give it a 2.5/5
