Abhi apun kya likhega Munnabhai fillum ke baare main....matlab bole to aisa jhakkas fillum banayela hai ki sab hindustani log ko dekhna mangta hai. Apan to yeh bhi bolta hai apna firangi dost log ko bhi dikhao unko bhi ejukashen dena mangta hai bapu ke baare main. Abhi tum poochega "bapu kaun"....arey saala akkha country ka bapu, Mahatma Gandhi....ab tum poochega ki bapu ka munna bhai se kya lena dena....yahi to is fillum ka khasiyat hai bhai....bas abhi jyada sawaal nahin poochne ka, khali padhne ka....
Aage ka story Inglis main.....
Without spoiling the movie too much, let me just say that LAGE RAHO MUNNABHAI is bigger and better than the first one. It raises Munnabhai and Circuit to the level of one of the few most memorable characters in the history of Hindi cinema. What really made me wonder, as I was walking out of Naz 8 in Fremont was that, have Indian story tellers really grown up? Do they now understand the nuances of film making that is supposed to take the audiences on that dream ride full of laughter and emotion and at the same time deliver a strong message? I think they do.
If Rang De Basanti was the first movie to combine a very strong message with a contemporary theme and quite possibly the best in recent years, then Munnabhai the second one to do that, comes fairly close. Straight from the heart, with right balance of emotion and comedy, this is a feel good movie. Some scenes stay with you even after the movie gets over. Don't believe me? Then go ahead and watch the very next show. If the boys of DU had Shaheed Bhagat Singh and his band of patriots, then Munna and Circuit have Bapu to show them the right path. Although unlike RDB, this one is done in Munna and Circuit's style, filled with numerous funny routines and one-liners that made Sarkeshwar so famous in the first place.
The story is very straightforward, Munna falls in love with a radio jockey, Jhanvi, played by very beautiful, Vidya Balan. She does a quiz contest on Mahatma Gandhi's birthday, and the winner is invited to her show. So, of course, Munna and his cronies bring all the Gandhi trivia studs and get him his first date with the love of his life. One lie leads to another and things go terribly wrong. Eventually Munna has to follow his imaginary friend "Bapu's" advice and teachings to set everything right and in the process not only wins his love, but saves a few lives and gets the blessings of entire Mumbai....
Writer, Director and Editor Rajkumar Hirani repeats most of the actors from his previous movie and their performances are excellent. Sanjay Dutt would forever be remembered for this role. Vulnerable face in a tough body - that's his trademark! His power packed portrayal is matched, once again, by Arshad Warsi. Vidya Balan is a complete natural. Dilip Prabhavalkar does well as Bapu. Boman Irani, this time disguised as a Sardar ji, does a great job as the only bad guy in the movie. But he's lovable too in his own way. Jimmy Shergil and Dia Mirza have little to do.
Songs are nicely choreographed and the movie has a pleasing cinematography. Shantanu Moitra (music director) uses Vinod Rathod's voice effectively. 'Lago raho munnabhai' - the title track and 'Samjho ho hi gaya' are the best of the lot.
to bhai log apun bahut jyada time khoti nahin karega.....apna apna pocket se dollar, rupya, pound jo bhi hai nikalo aur Munnabhai ko dekh daalo...abhi apna itna bolne par bhi tum log ko convincing nahin hua to yeh suno...fillum main ek surprise item bhi hai.....to kya bolta hai, jaiyenga na tum?

review bindaas hai..lnagda tyagi on the spot hai apne opinion main..fillim bhi ekdum chauchank hai...ek cheej apne ko thodi arbit lagi.... I don't know if you folks minded it or not but I didn't like the way Vidhya Balan shouted "Good Morning Mumbai"...it came as close to a squeal of a pig as possible...sometimes in the movie when i started figuring out that she is going to shout, i was scared that she might not stop and everything in the world would be shattered from that ugly howl!!!
awesome movie... bole to

Awesome review on this one.
Awesome review on this one. I totally agree, both Indian audience and film makers have matured a million times. Hopefully we are finally done with those tear jerking, nonsense megahits of the past. Its time for some refreshing and modern storylines. I hope the Yash raj and Johar group gets the message and stops repeating their mundane storylines of boy meets girl. ENOUGH!!!!

I love this movie. Much
I love this movie. Much better than the first movie. Best movie Hindi film industry has ever made! It teaches Gandhi's teachings in a way modern Indian youths can understand (usually they r the one who always say that Gandhigiri doesn't work in modern times. But this movie shows 'em how Gandhinian teachings are for all the times.)
perfect review. it goes
perfect review. it goes inline with d movie.
D movie has not only helped muna and circuit to grow in d eyes of indian audience especially sanju has gained a lot for himself considering the upcoming verdicts in the bomb blast cases. A lot of den protestants doesnt mind really even if sanju is declared innocent coz dey have started to love him and u can see dat from the way gandhigiri is getting popularized and being adopted, - thanks to media.
The way tyagi described Sanju stands true 'Vulnerable face in a tough body - that's his trademark!' and dats where d indian audience stands different, dey just love such characters more dan d action heroes r romantic ones.
One thing dat i can say about indian movies dat gooes Boom is dat d movie works much better if there r touching emotions rather dan shooting on a location abroad
