Amar Akbar Anthony (1977)


Abandoned in a park by their father, Amar (Vinod Khanna), Akbar (Rishi Kapoor) and Anthony (Amitabh Bachchan) grow up independently and have no knowledge of one another. They're reunited as adults when, by coincidence, they all give blood at the same hospital. The three brothers soon band together to seek vengeance on the man (Jeevan) ultimately responsible for their childhood separation in this comic caper.

Anamika (1973)

After being thrown from a speeding car, a young woman (Jaya Bhaduri) is found by a misogynistic writer named Devendra (Sanjeev Kumar). He takes her home, where she regains consciousness and insists that he's her husband. At his uncle's urging, Devendra humors the girl until she regains her memory, but along the way, he falls for her while learning some unsettling things about her past in this Bollywood mystery romance from 1973.
 

Angoor (1982)

Based on Shakespeare's 'A comedy of errors', this is a story of identical twins (2 pairs) and mistaken identities. Directed by Gulzar and coupled with strong performances from Sanjeev Kumar, Deven Verma and others, this movie is a complete laugh riot and a must watch for anyone.
 

Anjaane - The Unknown (2005)


It's bad enough when Shivani (Manisha Koirala) learns that her husband, Aditya (Sanjay Kapoor), is sleeping with Sonia (Tejaswini Kolhapure). But after a judge rules that Aditya can take custody of their children -- and that Sonia will become their new mother -- Shivani is prepared to do anything to keep her kids. Destiny, however, has something in store for them all in this Bollywood ghost story that takes its cues from 2001's The Others.
 

Anwar (2007)


Nursing a broken heart, Anwar (Siddharth Koirala) seeks refuge in an abandoned temple. Tragically, he's mistaken for a Muslim terrorist who's taken the sanctuary under siege, and he soon finds his life in danger. As the situation snowballs into a media circus, opportunists exploit Anwar's misfortune, while all involved try to avoid their own despair. Manish Jha directs this tragic love story set against the social issues of contemporary India.

Arth (English: Meaning) is a 1982 film directed by Mahesh Bhatt, starring Shabana Azmi, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Smita Patil, Raj Kiran and Rohini Hattangadi. Arth like most of Bhatt's movies is rumored to be based on his life, however the movie is a classic with stunning performances from all the lead actors. A must watch for all drama lovers.
