Dil Se (1998)
While on an interview assignment for All-India Radio, Amar Varma meets Meghna, the woman of his dreams. In spite of Amar's repeated efforts to get close to her, Meghna rejects him. The crestfallen Amar returns home to Delhi and consents to a family-arranged marriage. But then the enigmatic Meghna suddenly reappears, and Amar discovers that she's a suicide bomber whose mission is just one day away…

well, what did you expect- them running off together in the sunset like all the other chessy bubblegum movies out there. She thought he was dead, that's why she went ahead with the plan ... And also, with all she had suffered and gone through, I don't think there was anyother way out...
My opinion about this movie is that it will always be a classic and way ahead of it's time (surely if it was released after 2002, it would have been a phenomenal hit). 10 years have gone by and people are still talking about it (only now it's getting the recognition it desevres)
