Akele Hum Akele Tum (1995)



Producer and director Mansoor Khan delivers something rare in Hindi movies: a mature study of a contemporary marriage in crisis. In defiance of her parents' plan for an arranged marriage, a struggling singer (Manisha Koirala) marries a struggling composer (Aamir Khan). When her career gets an unexpected break, his resentment results in an intense courtroom battle for the custody of their son. Anu Malik handles the score.
