The race to the oscars has begun. This morning Salma Hayek and Academy President Sid Ganis announced the nominees for the 79th Annual Academy Awards. There were a few surprises for example the movie Dreamgirls though got the most nominations (eight overall), missed out on the best picture nomination. There are lot of international artists and movies that got nominated, and while announcing the nominations, Hayek said "There's so many Mexicans!". Indeed there are. The Awards will be aired on Feb 25 at 5 pm Pacific Time and will be hosted by Ellen Degeneres.

Over the last few years, Indian television has witnessed the phenomena which has already made half of Americans dumb - Reality TV. Numerous ideas were presented and quite a few made it to the little screen. There are ones that sank without a trace and then ones that really becaome popular. MTV Roadies is one of those popular ones and was recently back in its season 4, with new and young faces, bubbling with energy and vigour & rearing to go for an India tour on their KARIZMAS’.

We all know who gave the maximum number of Bollywood hits in the last millennium. You do not need to be a genius to guess that. It's, but of course,  Amitabh Bachchan. But then I was wondering who has given the most number of hits in the last seven years i.e. this millennium. Any guesses? Well, see for yourself below. I have listed number of hits of each of the top heroes post 2000.

I am not questioning your intelligence here, but apparently Mark Burnett is. The producer of famous shows like Survivor and The Apprentice is back with another reality show, which according to Peter Liguori, Fox Entertainment President will measure "how dumb you are".

The show aims to bring every parent's nightmare - being exposed for not knowing what's in  your kid's school textbook - on national television. And by national I mean US :-)

One of my favorite action movie franchise is back with the third edition and this time Chan and Tucker take their act across the Atlantic in Paris. While there, they get mixed up with the Chinese mafia and that leads to a lot of slam bam action. The movie is directed by Brett Ratner who directed the previous two versions and most recently X-Men the last stand.
