Awards Poll - Part 1: Best Actor and Best Actress

Hey, where is Ranbir Kapoor's nomination... ??? i reckon he really acted well in Saawariya... Being a newcomer in the industry n providing the intensity that the role demanded, he should definitely b considered for this slot... he is certainly here to give d other actors a run for their money.. he dances well, has a well-toned body, emotes n acts well, has d looks n height... wat else u need.... I even want 2 thank u for placing vinay pathak's name as he ws at his best in Bheja Fry... he is quite versatile... As far as "Best Actress" is concerned, i think Vidya Balan ws far far far far ahead in "Bhool Bhulaiya"... She really scared the hell out of me... Even Kareena Kapoor ws better in JWM.. she did complete justice 2 her role... BT D MOST SHOCKING NOMINATION OF D YEAR IS DAT OF "DEEPIKA PADUKONE"... I mean does she really know hw 2 act...??? in each n every frame of OSO, she ws just d same (with a smile n her face), except 4 d scene when she is caught in fire... I think v hav had enuf of khans, bachchans n roshans... its time nw 2 bring in a change... v have certainly great actors in store such as K K Menon, Shiney Ahuja, Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shourie, Irfan Khan, Boman Irani, Arshad Warsi, etc to name a few... dey hav entertained us over d years by giving variety of roles (n nt getting typed)... Dey shud also b considered 4 dis imp category of "Best Actor", as d award is "Best Actor" and not "Actor with Best Fan Following"...

I can't believe it...the actresses i sorta feel as though none of them really deserve it..i watched laaga chunari mein daag and i think rani mukherji should get it but i think ashwariya rai or kareena should get it too. just wondering...why is deepika padukone even nominated for best actress here?????

Sachin, Ranbir Kapoor was good but certainly not better than any of the actors mentioned above in the list. He will be nominated in Best Debut category. As for Deepika Padukone, see the number of votes she is getting. That's not for nothing. And in any case if you don't like her acting, just don't vote for her. If your choice is missing, let us know.

Well Vijay, I wud rather say that all d ppl voting 4 her r "movie illeterates"... d nomination is 4 best actress nt "actress wid best fan following".. hw cn sm1 even think f voting 4 her when u have sm1 like tabu n vidya balan in the pipeline, who have earned a name 4 demselves nt by fan following bt by giving their best in terms of performances... i mean luk at the muvies behind them (Maachis, Astitva, Namesake, Parineeta, etc)... n den if u r saying dat Ranbir Kapoor shud b nominated fr Best Debut den wt is Deepika doin in Best Actress category... She shud also be shifted dere... i wud rather place Deepika Padukone in the category of Esha Deol, Shamita Shetty, Gayatri Joshi (Swades), etc, i.e all hype n no substance... i reckon tabu shud also be nominated fr Namesake, gul panag fr "Manorama six feet under", saarika fr Parzania.. for ppl like deepika padukone, u shud make a different nomination i.e "Actresses with the Best Fan following"... N m dead sure Deepika will be d winner...

dont see the success of the film see the natural acting whick she does rani keep it up
