As Vidhu Vinod Chopra continues to squash the doubters by his verbal diatribe, another unlikely contender has slowly risen to the top of "oscar hopefuls" pile - Tabu. Yes her performance in the critically acclaimed "The Namesake" might get her a nomination in the Best Actor (Female) category.  Now that would be something....

Kicking off 2008 in style will be the mega movie, Jodha Akbar, starring the superhit jodi of Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar, this will be the movie that can either establish him as a great director or as a one hit wonder (that was ghost directed by a certain someone). Hrithik and Aishwarya will be seen together after the superhit Dhoom 2 and people have high hopes for Magic 2 happen again.

The trailer is one of those shaky theatre cam things, but since it's out there, I thought I might just put it here for you to see. I'll add the better version as soon as it gets on the web....Watch it here...

After the likes of Tanisha and Bipasha testing the waters of the ‘bikini land’ in the films Neal N Nikki and Dhoom 2 respectively, the radar has now turned towards Kareena Kapoor, who, it seems, is all set to wear a bikini for Yash Raj Film’s Tashan. The bikini shoot is being scheduled for February 2008, for which Kareena is reportedly preparing herself to be in shape! That probably explains why Kareena lost oodles of weight. If you were excited looking at new slim Kareena get into those tight fitting clothes on tv shows for Jab We Met promotion, wait for a next few months, coz the Kapoor girl seems to have much more to offer in Tashan.

Since Taxi No. 9211, John Abraham is lying low with no major hits although he gave decent performances in Baabul, Kabul Express, Salaam-E-Ishq and Water. But not anymore...John Abraham fans, cheer up as he has two major releases lined up this winter: No Smoking ans Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal. Dhak Dhak gal is back with Aaja Nachle with her infamous bare (almost) back. Produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Anil Mehta, Aaja Nachle has an interesting cast of Madhuri Dixit, Akshaye Khanna, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kunal Kapoor, Ranvir Shorey, Irrfan Khan and Divya Dutta. Its music was launched recently and we have added it here for your hearing pleasure. Listen to the songs, rate them and write your music review. Music is by Salim Sulaiman, who have given us Chak De India and Kaal among others in the past.
