Yes Salman and Rani are both in the movie.....

i have seen the pics and heard the songs (they suck). this film is giong to be a disaster. it will open good but after that it will be the biggest disasters for sanjay leela bansali. here are my reasons.

1. it is going up against srk's om shanti om which has some awesome songs and the story looks cool. we still don't know what the story is to saavariya.

2. it has newcomers and a budget of over 40 cr. good luck recovering this money for this film and for newcomers was a bad idea.

3. ranbir kapoor does not look all that. has a big nose. he does not look charismatic. but hey if abjr made it so far so will ranbir regardless of how many flops he has. when compared to the new guy from johnny gaddar he does not look at that. sonam looks okay. let's see if she can act. had they been not sons/daughters of the kapoor clans they would be lucky enough to be in television serials. their looks are ordinary. there are better looking people than them that never got a launch like this.

4. ranbir-sonam's looks are similar to sanjay kapoor-tabu's looks in prem and we know how that film turned out to be.

5. did i mention the songs suck except for the title song. i tried to hear the songs again but they suck. om shanti om has awesome songs. dard de disco, title song, and others.

6. how insecure is sanjay b, he needs rani and salman khan to help with this film that is how confident he is about newcomers in saawariya.

mark my words. just b/c you are a star kid don't mean crap. this film is going to tank.

WEll, you need a taste to appreciate songs like the ones in Saawariya. In fact OmShantiOm songs are surely catchy (and they sure have mass appeal) but just listen to Saawariya album for maybe 3 times. And like all SLB movies, you shall fall in love with these songs.. Mark My words.. Masha Allah, Jaan-e-jaan, Thode Badmaash dont get out of the mind once they set in.. ! Oh yes. and Parthi Gohils Yoon Shabnami is just a bit too awesome for masses to understand.. So I wouldnt suggest that one.

About looks.. hullo.. we are pitching against SRK, what looks are we talking about???? lol... I mean, yeah 6 packs, but apart from the expressive eyes, what do you have to say about SRKs nose?? :-) why pass a comment like that before the movie has even released?

Personally, SLB can make anybody look great and act well.. so I am not worried about that.. yes I hear the story of Saawariya is very simple, so there might be a catch there. as for Reincarnation and stuff.. yeah right ! you might call that interesting !

Oh yes, and Salman has just a guest appearance in the movie and that part has not even been advertised to take undue advantage of his stardom (so the hypothesis of SLB taking the help of Rani/Salman cannot be called as true)

Right now, Saawariya music refuses to get out of my head.. ! its got a more ever lasting feel (a welcome relief from the recent crap music)

Anyways, I wish SLB and the new pair all the very best.
No offences to Farah Khan, she is an intelligent film maker herself.. but maybe its not her kind of movies that "everyone" digs for.

Saawariya is simply superb.the songs are so melodious n heart touching.............people should hear the song n then tell.especiall the jab se tere naina sung by shaan and masha allah by kunal are the highlightsd n other songs are also good........ranbir is looking really good n in promos he s amazing.sonam is pretty awesome n del;icate.....they both make a fantastic couple.n sanjay leela is a quality director,so its going to be a great pleasure for eyes.......

SLB's stories are always simple, and always a hit. if somebody as dumb as ashwariya rai can be credited as best actress, what would you say about the movie maker? ash is beautiful, but don't tell me she can act! the only two times she's been declared best actress is when she did SLB flicks. and believe it or not it was the movie that paid off n not her.
this movie is said to be a recreation of a very classic love story, SLB is a master when it comes to adaptation.

Hey this movie is going to prove that DIRECTORS should be given full credit for the movie they make!!! SLB is the best so far after Vidhu Vinod Chopra in the Indian Film Faternity!!!!! And he has always done challenging subjects with par excellence!!!!!!!!! But this time the challenge is the STAR CAST itself but he is going to prove everyone wrong by the terrific performance of the young couple!!! Its hard to say that RANBIR and SONAM are new comers, by judging the scenes enacted in the trailors which is in level with the present superstar!!!!! And i do respect SLB, as he always encourages upcoming talents and reminding the whole wide WORLD that INDIA is UNIQUE from the rest!!!!

ok, many people say that they don't know the story when slb clearly stated that it is based on a short story "white nights" which was pretty boring when i read it, but maybe the film will be good, i mean devdas and hddcs were outstanding

i think its a superb piece of poetry incarnated into today's idea of love.. a delicate yet strong affinity of magnificance when it comes to beauty of sets and the extravagance.. a fairy tale that will capture you, most assuredly with the sweet essense of soothing music bound to lead you into a heavely paradise.. for those to who admire modern art and aspire to understand the meaning of a painting understood by many.. this is truly a treasure to be unfolded.. a true beauty in its place..
