Can Himesh create the same Magic as Rishi Kapoor did?

The music director turned singer turned actor Himesh Reshammiya will be doing the role of Rishi Kapoor in the remake of 1980 musical hit "Karz".

It's in news that T-SERIES have bought the rights of the film from Subhash Ghai's " MUKTA ARTS "and are planning to make the remake of the film with Himesh in the lead. The music company  first approached Subhash Ghai for the direction of this remake but he declined the offer stating that how can he make the remake of his own creation. Now the new producers T-SERIES are looking for a new director and the name coming in light is of Mr. Satish Kaushik. The other cast and crew of the film are yet to be decided. The hunt is on for a new female face as Himesh has already said that he is not going to act with any big heroines of Bollywood.

Now we have to wait till the film is released whether Himesh can do justice to the role of MONTY [ previously acted by Rishi Kapoor]. If Himesh wants to achieve even half the success, what the original movie did, he has to seriously concentrate on his acting and to be away from shouting in reality shows. We wish him all the best.

The film is slated to release in August 2008.
