Mohtarma Mallika - Burkhe ke peeche kya hai??

Mallika Sherawat much like other celebrities likes to disguise herself when traveling. However something interesting happened recently when she was returning to Mumbai from a trip to Bangkok. Sherawat was dressed in a Burkha and was carrying a passport which said her name was Reema Lamba (which is actually her real name). While passing through the immigration, the officer got suspicious that why is a Hindu woman wearing a Burkha....

The officer was not familiar with Bollywood personalities, (which is hard to believe, I mean hello we are talking about Mallika not some random aunty ji), so when he saw an attractive woman staring straight at him, after the burkha was unveiled, he was even more perplexed...

He did what any normal law abiding custom official would do, (no not strip search silly), he called his other officers to interrogate this mysterious woman. Then, just like some law says, ultimately someone recognized her and said "Arrey Yeh to Mallika Hai...", and then all hell broke loose. All the officers and remainder of the staff gathered around her to get an autograph and a picture opportunity. In another news, 20 crores worth of cocaine was brought in through Mumbai airport in broad daylight while custom officials were crowding around some random burkha clad woman:-)

Anyways the actress was gracious and she acknowledged their appreciation with a nice "aadaab" (although no one took her invitation) and took a few pictures without the burkha. What is amazing to me is that Mumbai airport officials are so star struck when they must have seen every damn celebrity walk through that immigration counter.
