raulsails, how can u like emon's voice? he sings like a girl. awaz mein dum nahi hai. i agree on chang. bohat line maar raha tha wo deepali pe. i liked his style of presenting rose to her in the end.

Vijay, no matter what Anu Malik jaan hai show ka. bahut entertain karta hai :) alisha still looks hot hot hot...

LOL...I like the fight of judges.

I recently watched some of the previous episodes and I feel Abhishek Kumar too is a very strong contender for Indian Idol. I have liked his "Chala jaata hun" although he forgot some lines in between, "Yeh dil deewana", "Main hoon Don", "Bachna aye haseeno" and "Dus bahane kar ke le gaye dil". Not to forget his mimicry performances and "Ek chatur naar badi hoshiyar" act. Watch out other contestants! He is my favorite - among male contestants of course. And I have already said Ankita and Deepali are my favorite among female :)

I can't stop watching the clip of this - I'm so glad he was voted back in.... :o)

I watch Indian Idol as often as I can which is every week mostly. Sometimes I feel I am highly critical of these young singers being somewhat knowledgeable is music (I am a singer and have performed abroad also). But when I heard Amit singing that day, I was floored and in love with his voice, his easy confidence, his attire - I mean he was living the song itself that day. Like it should be. Just fantastic.

The other guy who did quite well was Chang except Amit's voice quality is much better than Chang's. In my opinion Amit matched or bettered Udit's actual performance EXCEPT at the very end when he was out of 'sur' while singing the last word 'Deewano.' The first time I thought that could be attributed to nervousness etc. but he did again in the encore. Get that fixed, young man, and you'll go places with your voice one day. God bless.

I cannot agree more with Vijay! This was a superlative peformance and to me he is undoubtedly the Indain Idol. If i was the judge my comment would have been - We've found who we were in seach of... i think we should all pack up and welcome our next Indian Idol"... After listening to all the contestants, i can correlate this to gap btw Roger Federer and the rest of the players. There is no competition here. Amit was just amazing!

The only way this guy can lose the title now is by losing to himeself.

This undisputably strong, melodic, perfect "voice + rendition" was the missing element till now in the competition and now the competition somehow feels complete. To me, after Amit's last two renditions (now, I can choose "rendition" over "performance" sans hesitation because there isn't a need to compensate the loss at the rendition level in other elements), I will be watching the competition only to see if the guy will be able to perform 8 more renditions at the same level or not. And if he does, "he MADE it" else "he didn't make it"!

(I confess to slightly being on a high, and hence to being a bit too subjective in my comments above. But then who doesn't get high listening umpteen times on a repeat mode to the last two renditions of this guy)

Amit Paul's voice quality is just excellent and he cannot be compared with others. He is just toooooooo good. And above all he is so cute and handsome.

In an absolute shocker of a decision, Parleen has been voted out of Indian Idol 3. Although he had given a great performance in the last episode, Parleen was in bottom 3 along with Puja and Deepali. Going by the past records, I thought either of the two girls would be evicted, but it was shocking to see Parleen getting out. His farewell song had his pain and disappointment as also could be seen on fellow contestants' and judges' faces.

So, now we have Top 8 left in Indian Idol 3: Abhishek, Amit Paul, Ankita, Chang, Deepali, Emon, Prashant and Puja. The hottest favorite is of course Amit Paul. His "Pehla nasha..." from JJWS in the last episode was once again simply awesome!!!

Quite unexpectedly Deepali was voted out in the last episode. Emon and Ankita were the other two in danger zone. And going by the last performance, I thought it would be Ankita. But junta had other plans. So, now we have Top 6 as under:

I think amit paul is really good.....but, you have to accept deepali's best performance was 'mera piya ghar aya' really good and throoughout....you have not mentioned ANKITA's name.....seriously!!!! do give importance to all of them!!! (although i dn't really like ankita) anyway the song was irresistable and reallt the fights are irresistable!! anu malik and alisha...bab re bab!!!! dhono pagal hain!!!! Yes Chak De, even I was shocked to see Chang voted out. Ironically, the three guys in danger zone this time were actually the Top 3 for me - Amit Paul, Emon and Chang.

Ankita or Prashant should feel lucky to be still safe.

It's high time junta starts voting sensibly else we might see more shocking results. Anyway for me Amit Paul has been the Indian Idol ever since he sang Nasha yeh pyar ka nasha hai. After that all of his performances have been simply awesome!

Sooner or later it had to happen - Ankita is out. She did not deserve to be in Top 5 anyway. Now we have Top 3 as: Amit Paul, Emon Chatterjee and Prashant Daman. I am sure the nation is rooting for Amit Paul - the next big thing in Indian music industry. Hope he wins. I am very surprised how Javed Akhtar supported Ankita because he wanted a girl Indian Idol. What rubbish! I do not care about the gender - the best person should win and Ankita was not the best among these Top 13. She did perform good in the last episode. She has her style but on purely singing talent, she does not match upto Amit Paul, Emon, Prashant, Chang, Deepali or Abhishek.

I know Amit is a far better singer than Prashant. Amit will anyways get lots of singing offers (even if he is not voted Indian Idol) as his voice is simply awesome. Keeping that in mind, I think we should vote for Prashant as the poor chap will get something.

You have an awesome voice, and great control, just feel like going on listening to all your songs. My absolute favorite is Bulla Ki Janna..it was unbelievable.
