Movie Preview : Bhoothnath !!!

Debutante Director Vivek Sharma, along with producer Ravi Chopra, is all set to enthrall the audiences with his impending flick “Bhoothnath”. The movie will see Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla teaming up once again after “Paheli” and opposite each other after a hiatus of 7 years (their last movie together being “Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani”). Amitabh Bachchan would be playing Bhoothnath, an eerie ghost.

The movie is an emotional story of a deceased grandfather (Amitabh Bachchan) and his grandson. The plot of the movie revolves around SRK and Juhi playing a couple who move to Goa with their son. The kid befriends a spooky spirit, Bhoothnath, who is none other than his own grandfather.

This is the first time (in 20 years) that the B R Chopra banner has hired an outside director to direct a film. Earlier B R Chopra wanted to make “Ek Aur Masiha” starring all the three actors in the 90’s, but the project never took off. Moreover this would be SRK and Amitabh’s seventh flick together after “Mohabbatein”, “Veer Zaara”, “Paheli”, “Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham”, “Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna” and soon to be released “Jhoom Barabar Jhoom”.

Moreover, Juhi Chawla won’t be lending just her acting skills but she’ll be trying her hand at playback singing as well. She had no intentions to delve into it as a career possibility till the time director Vivek Sharma suggested her to record a track. Deadly-duo Vishal-Shekhar have been assigned for the musical scores.

The movie is all set to release sometimes later this year. Certainly, a spooky affair to watch out for…!!!
