Golden Globe and Peabody award winning American television series “Ugly Betty” premieres in India today (Star World at 9 PM). The series stars America Ferrera, Vanessa Williams and Eric Mabius and is written by Fernando Gaitan.

The series combines elements of drama, comedy, buffoonery and satire and is filmed like a traditional network drama.

By now you might have heard of John Abraham's new flick Goal, being produced by UTV. The movie obviously has a sports based theme, which is nice. Although I hope it's not as dumb as Tara Rum Pum, which also had a similar theme. What is also interesting is that now we are seeing some sports based movies being made in Bollywood (good for the genre), however except for Iqbal, none of them are based in India. They are still targeted to the NRI audiences and both Tara Rum Pum and Goal are based on games where Indians pretty much rule from the bottom. I would like to see more sports theme movies like Hip Hip Hurray and Iqbal which are based out of India.

Every time you see him on screen, it looks like he is having a great time. Even if he plays a supporting role, he’s often the best part of the movie. An amiable person by nature, this guy is often cast as a bad guy and a callous administrator. He has even appeared as villain on TV in “Miami Vice” and “Wiseguy”. Yes, you guessed it right. We are talking about none other than “Stanley Tucci”.

The hero and the heroine have always been such a vital part of the Indian Cinema and they are truly inseparable. So I thought of counting down the top ten of ‘on-screen’ couples that have ruled and reigned the silver screen of India for a very long time and have simply created magic by their impeccable chemistry….

Director Sudhir Mishra and actor Shiney Ahuja seem to have formed a sort of unbreakable bond post “Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi”. The two of them will again entice the audiences with their forthcoming flick “Khoya Khoya Chand”. The film was originally titled as “Bahut Nikle Mere Armaan”.
