Movie Preview: Partner

Move over Will Smith. We now have our own desi "Date Doctor". Yes, Salman Khan steps into Will Smith's shoes in David Dhawan's forthcoming comedy Partner, a remake of Hitch. Eternal "Prem" helps hundreds of men woo the women of their dreams. One of them is Govinda, who plays Kevin James' part here. If you do not mind remakes, then this might be a real fun ride this summer with two of David Dhawan's favorite actors Govinda and Salman Khan as partners. Lara Dutta plays the role of Salman's love interest, played by Eva Mendes in the original whereas Katrina Kaif is Govinda's lady love here.

It would be interesting to see Govinda back in a David Dhawan movie after a long time. Their last movie together was Ek Aur Ek Gyarah in 2003. Just a recap of what they have given us earlier - Swarg, Shola Aur Shabnam, Aankhen, Raja Babu, Coolie No. 1, Saajan Chale Sasural, Hero No. 1, Deewana Mastana, Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan, Haseena Maan Jaayegi and Jodi No. 1. That's an impressive list of super hit movies from one Actor-Director combination!!!

Salman Khan too has had a successful combination with David Dhawan with Judwaa, Biwi No.1, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya.

We can only hope the trio do some wonders at the box office and give us some non-stop entertainment. Wish they had some original content instead of copying Hitch. Produced by Sohail Khan and K Sera Sera, Partner has music by Himesh Reshammiya and is slated for July 20 release. Here's the first teaser. Enjoy!
