Movie Preview: CHAK DE INDIA !!!
Shahrukh Khan is back with another bang and the latest movie proud to have the King Khan of Bollywood in its cast list is “Chak De India” that is slated to release in August this year.
Putting Shahrukh and Vidya Malvade opposite each other, this movie is being directed by Shimit Amin who earlier made “Ab Tak Chappan”. Shahrukh is playing the role of a broken sportsperson who was ousted from the fields of hockey matches disgracefully and now he returns to the game after a long hiatus as a coach to a girl’s hockey team. Vidya acts out the role of a Sikh girl who is passionate and intense about the game herself but this love is constantly marred by her traditional and staunch parents (sounds pretty much like “Bend it like Beckham”… huh).
The story sets into motion when it is up to the girl’s team to title their country’s name and flag as the winner of the Women’s Hockey World Cup that is being held in Australia. It is also the time for the coach to win back his lost glory and retrieve his prestige. The story is about the ardor and the dedication of making your dreams come true in the face of circumstances when the whole world seems to be turning its back on you. It’s about the strength and force of human character.
The script is fashioned by Jaideep Sahni and Salim-Sulaiman will be the music carvers. The movie is being moneyed by Yash Chopra. It has been extensively shot in the big, beautiful cities of the Aussie subcontinent i.e. in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
Well… Seems promising, at least more than what the last Yash Chopra Productions (Ta Ra Rum Pum) had to offer!!!!

i loved this movie....its awesome,it gave me goosebumps watching it...all the girls in India must watch this movie....kudos to the director and yash chopra for investing in a story so off glamour yet breathtaking....I thank the team for their fabulous effort.

An awsome movie. Every moment of movie is well crafted. Full marks to Shahrukh Khan, his Hocky Team Members and Director. It is definately must watch movie for every person who wants to fight back... who wants to move ahead. The team spirit subject was very well highlighted.
