The Kingdom: New Trailer

New trailer for Jamie Foxx's new movie, The Kingdom, just hit the web. From the director of Friday Night Lights (the movie and the show) and The Rundown, Peter Berg and the producer of Collateral and The Aviator, Michael Mann comes the story of an elite FBI team sent to find a killer in a hostile country. The Kingdom is set to hit the theatres in the Fall.

The movie has a distinctive style which seems like the fusion of Collateral and Friday Night Lights (obvious obvious). What is interesting is that both those movies were very similar in the storytelling and camera work aspect. I am no expert, but as an audience I could tell that they come from the same school of film making. By the way if you have not seen Friday Night Lights movie and the show then watch it, the movie was simply awesome, the show is average. Anyways it's good that Michael Mann and Peter Berg have found each other and can reinforce each other's styles.

The movie is written by Joe Carnahan's brother (director of Narc and Smokin' Aces), Matthew Michael Carnahan who is also the writer for the upcoming movie Lions for Lambs which is directed by Robert Redford and stars Tom Cruise, Meryl Streep and Redford himself.

The Kingdom stars a number of actors including, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Chris Cooper, Jason Bateman and Jeremy Piven in leading roles. The movie certainly has lot of big names attached to it and is made on a $80 Million budget. To watch the new trailer, click here....
