IIFA Nominations: They messed it up yet again!!!

If IFFA were going to have the same noms and same kind of function what is the point of the show. I mean every award show in the world has some significant meaning. Oscars represent best films picked by America BAFTA best films picked by british, MTV movie and music awards represent youth awards but what does having IIFA, Screen, Filmfare, and Zee mean. If they are to nom just about the same people and give the same people the same awards what is the point? WHere is the excitement. and for people that saw zee awards i must say that it was one of the most boring award show ever. the show proved that it is totally biased. how can you give a popular film (lage raho munnabhai) a critic award???? note hritik did not act in either krrish or dhoom 2. that is what you call acting????? kangana (gangster), ayesha (dor), kareena (omkara) were wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than kajol in faana. siddarth of rang de basanti should have won for best supporting actor and best debut not fake model upen for 36 chinatown. srk got entertainer of the year for trying to ape absr in don remake and cheating husband in kank??? hritik deserved that award. what is also funny is that iifa nom. emrani hasmin for neg. performance and zee nom. shiney ajuha for neg. perofrmance?? so who was the hero of the film gangster??? hritik won best actor for dhoom 2 at filmfare but for iifa he is nom. for best neg. performance. how credible is that. aish for dhoom 2?? is that what you call acting?? subash ghai at zee got special recognition award. for what??? making crap films lately (36 chinatown, kisna, yaadien, rahul, and the latest mr and my khaana and iyer). and what kind of awards are these:

best publicity design?? best film processing?? and for what film kahbie alvida na kehan. what do they mean??? oh wait karan (gay) johar was hosting the show. they had to give him something.

how can real good films like taxi no. 911, dor, omkara, khosala ka ghosala be left out in best pic nom.

these award functions are nothing but to make everybody happy. i mean what was this stupid zeith power team award for both rang de basanti and lage raho munnabhai????? power team. did they work together???? they make up stupid awards just to make everybody happy. where is the credibility. you did not see oscars give eddie murphy a "special award" for his dreamgirls. when he lost he lost. no kissing up awards. but in india that is how it works. indian awards have lost it.

another funny thing absr recently said is he wants to win an award over his son. hello this iifa is bascially run by you i mean you are the ambassador of the function. you can give yourself an award. but he will not do that b/c he is still working on getting his son up there so he will give his son an award for kank and since aish is marrying him it will be a great wedding gift.

to sum it up just about every hindi award function in india sucks.

yawn i wonder who are going to win at iifa. these people should just show up and collect their awards: hritik, abjr, kajol, sanjay dutt, vinod chopra and rajkumar, saif ali khan, rakesha meha. yawn boring.

Don't these guys suffer from award fatigue...

I am sick of these people inventing categories to give awards to Amitabh Bachchan and SRK .. So I am not really surprised that Aishwarya has been nominated... But I can't believe Dor has been ignored..

I don't know how many people take these awards seriously.. I have stopped taking it seriously from the time "beta" got Anil Kapoor Best Actor in Filmfare ahead of Amir JJWS and AB's Khuda Gawah..

Or is it because we don't take it seriously that these people have gone international !!

Rightly said, even I was disappointed when Anil Kapoor got the Best Actor Fimfare Award for Beta ahead of Aamir Khan for Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander. I remember in one of the following year's event, when Nana Patekar received the trophy unexpectedly for Krantiveer, he said "I thought this award can only be bought. I have been proved wrong today." Wish these award functions start proving us wrong once again and award the truly deserving ones!

Guys, don't waste your time discussing bollywood awards...

aishwariya gets nominated....pathetic...and then they crib about we not being at power level to the american films.....and then abhishek wins it will be given by aishwariya only....morons

2. srk of ddlj over amir of rangeela
3. srk of dil to pagal hai over anil of virsaat
4. srk of mohobaaten over sanjay dutt of mission kahmir or anil of pukar
5. srk of devdas over ajay devgan of company
6. srk of veer zara over absr in khakee or dev

he should thank amir for not kissingup to filmfare. or else amir would have won more awards. srk is also one lousy mc. he needs to get a life.

Lataji - Nomination.............Shame to ask her to compete with girls who are of her grand daughter age. And especially is she still can give run for their money to Sunidhi's, Shreya's or Alka's of the world.
It is sheer shame to ask such Legendry, humble and Bharat Ratna to compete. Her work is limited to choices she makes now adays to sing and especially Luka Chupi where ARR had sincerely requested her to do so.

IIFA - Grow Up. Indian Awards also had to take care of Indian Culture - Respect of Guru's like Lataji.

i rekon the only one person and seetheart that actually desereves the award is KAJOL.... SHE IS THE BEST!!!!!!!! her acting, pulls you away and makes u feel the character. Another thing they said FANAA was the year's biggest blockbuster.. why hasnt fanaa been nominated... the movie was fantastic... the songs were great, most of the cast was fantastic!!!! Fanaa should of been nominated as best film!!!

Yo, how come bipasha basu has not been nominated for best actress for corporate and amrita rao for vivah? and rani, aishwarya and vidya are?

huh, indian film awards r just like bullshit. After giving superb performances by Sanjay Dutt, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek [Specially for Yuva & main prem ki diwani hoon], Ajay Devgan, Aamir Khan, Irfaan Khan, Nana Patekaar and some other superb talented actors, who wins the award? yes... it's either Shahrukh Khan or Hrithik Roshan. i m simply astonished to see that Bipasha didn't get nomination for corporate. Aishwariya got nomination for D2 despite of her brilliant performance in Umrao Jaan. All the awards r now basically depends on the Box-Office. they concentrate more on the financial success than good making and performance.

okay, mate first of all u said half of the awards SRK won he didnt deverse them, and then u list all of them he did, then which ones did he deserve then? srk did actaully deserve best actor for ddlj over amir (rangeela) becuase amir's role in that film was the common typical 'tapori' type, while srk's role was different during that time (however, he did seem to do the same roles in stupid films like veer zaara, dil to pagal hai and mohbatein). for the record, srk lost best actor to hrithik (for a stupid film/acting that wasnt award worthy, yet i dont see u rambling on bout how hrithik and his dad seem to win these shiti awards) secondly srk shouldve won best actor for SWADES, it was his best performance and better then absr in khakee and dev.

Any dont get me started on Amir khan, that guy is the most insecure actor in bollywood (dat's if he still considers to be part of it). since Raja Hindustani, have you seen him make a movie with a big star (i.e. srk, salman, sanjay d, anil kapoor ABSR), obviuosly becuase he always wants to be the main character or lose the limelight. even then he was outshined by saif ali khan and akshaye khanna in dil chahta hai! If he was such a great actor why hasnt he won the national award yet! then again srk didnt win it for swades!

And anyway, i think amir is such an overrated actor, so is ajay devgan (does the same roles/film=action/dark) and hrithik roshan...while actors like saif ali khan, srk (because of these fake/stupid awards and his stardom) and sanjay dutt are so underrated.
