Borat Director signs Kanye West for an HBO Show

The comedic genius Larry Charles who's worked on some of the best shows in the history of television like Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Entourage has his eyes set on a show for HBO (remember it's not TV its HBO) which will feature the superstar rapper Kanye West.

The project is still untitled but this is very exciting news, a director who is not afraid to take on the most forbidden taboos and an artist who is not afraid to speak out could be a killer combination. The show could be a lot of fun. Just when I thought it'll be tough to top BORAT, here comes Larry Charles with another announcement which is indeed worth looking forward to.

Now in the last few years (actually more than that) we have seen almost every celebrity get a show and when most people will hear about Kanye West getting one, they'll be like - who cares. But I think the pairing of KW and Larry Charles is important for the show because they could be the ones who can bring some kind of unique take on this "genre" and hopefully make it "fall-out-of-your-chair" humorous. The show will air sometime in 2007.
