Ur dammn right dude!! Totally agree with ur points. Me too was almost crying when hritik won, but i had see it coming way before. But thats purely because its Aamirs own fault that he boycots this awards, trust me if he did it like the others and attend it, he would have won atleast 5 best actor awards in his career until now including this year ofcourse. But hey thats life.

I thot Hrithik was the villain in Dhoom 2. In the first place, he shd have been nominated for the Best Actor in a Negative Role category, where he stood no chance against Saif Ali Khan.

My take is Sanju Baba!!!

I am glad Aish did not win for Dhoom 2 :) Kajol deserved it.
SRK was good in Don. He was better than others. But....

This Filmfare Award has disappointed me a lot.

I think there was no room for acting in Dhoom2 for which Hrithik got the Award and moreover he was the villain.It was not fare to give him the award. Ajay Devgan was not even nominated.How could the judjes miss out Ajay Devgan for Omkara.He was the most deserving Actor for the Best Actor award apart from Aamir Khan for RDB.

All in all, the awards were a biased one.

first of all filmfare need to stopping kissing srk, karan johar, and yash chopras' a$$. srk was the most annoying thing this year as he was in 2003. he loves to hog the limelight. he is a bad mc. can they get a comedian to host the show??? ditto for karan. and please stop giving yash chopra an award just about every year. come on the pathetic power award??????? and to be honest if filmfare was any smart the best actress of the year was kangana for gangster. even better than kajol of fanaa. they gave her the best debut which does not mean crap and face of the year which i have no idea what that means. give her the real award which was best actress. ditto for bips for coroprate. ayesha tulka for dor. kajol did not deserve the award. this was a kissing up to say thanks for coming back to the movies. and again it was a yash chopra produced film. as for supporting actor: pic any of these three from rang de basanti: atul kulkarni, siddarth, kunal kapoor. they were all awesome in their roles and even better than abjr in KANK. but again at least one award had to go to karan johar film. it is rather absurd he has won three straight years. can somebody say: biased. abjr should thank his father. this was a wedding gift from filmfare to keep the bachanans happy. and how coincendence that they gave his mommy lifetime achievement award too. funny both absr and jaya got this award now. awww how convenient.

also best male singer was hands down tere bin of bas ek pal not shaan of chand shafarish. but again a yash chopra film had to get some award. rang de basanti got best film b/c it went to oscars. had lage raho munnabhai went it it would have won best pic. critics did not pick lage raho munnabhai. it only won b/c rang de basanti won best pic. so what this means is critics did not like rang de basanti as munnabhai. ha ha ha. but again if munnabhai went to oscars then rang de basanti would have won critic award. ha ha. a more deserving would have been omkara or khosla ka ghosla or even dor.

also for best actor in critics should have gone to ajay devgan not amir khan. funny but fake filmfare did not even include amir in their stupid power list last year but they gave him an award. see it came down to either amir or ajay devgan who both don't attend the awards because of their biasness. now filmfare did not want to look stupid. this award to amir is a way of getting him to come to the functions each year. it is more like a kissing up award too. also amir was the only other actor that had two super hits last year besides hritik. amir khan should have won the popular award for best actor in rang de basanti. not hritik for dhoom 2. hritik was the villian in dhoom 2. you call that acting in dhoom 2??? again since he gave two big hits in 2006 filmfare had to give him something. they could not give it for krrish then people woudl have said his father bought the award. again it was a yash chopra produced film. funny huh but the two main awards: actor, actress were produced by yash chopra???? coincedence???

thank god there were not best male debut for upel patel. he did not act in 36 chinatown. if it was should have gone to siddardth of rang de basanti.

a.r rehman got it for rang de basanti which was deserved. saif, arshad, konoka, deserved it. and though kareena deserved it this year her last two (dev and chameli) were okay but not award worthy. oh let me see she is from the kapoor clan.

overall the show sucked as usual. a couple of boring dances. stupid jokes which were not funny. totally biased (filmfare was big time Kissing bachana family's a$$)

maybe the filmfare committe shouldve watched the oscars which was on tonight and learn something on how to give DESERVING people the awards and not favor big wigs (Karan johar, srk, yash chopra) all the time.

somebody needs to boycott these stupid awards.

hritik won best actor for krrish at the screen awards but filmfare gave him best actor for dhoom 2. now what is funny is that both of these films did well and were high grossers. but what is absurd is in either film he did not act: he was just being a superhero in hrrish which is like saying tobey maguire in spiderman or christan bale of batman. also in dhoom 2 he was the main villian and abjr was the so called hero of the film. and these stupid functons have him best actor awards over again

1. amir for rang de basanti who actually acted being a college guy punjabi.

2. ajay devgan for omkara for being a bihar thug.

3. sanjay dutt for lage raho munnhabhi for being a fun loving gangster.

4. shinde ajuha of gangster for being a gangster.

5. anupam kher for khosla ka ghosla for being a scared helpess father.

those five perofrmances my friend is what you call acting not hriitk's role.

shame on the functions.

bet hritik will win more awards in the next stupid fuctions: zee lux, bollywood, iffa, etc.

The very fact that the irritating orange county fake Aishwarya was one of the nominees for BEST ACTRESS in Dhoom2 , shows how pathetic and rigged our filmfare selection is.
I aint watching Filmfare next year.
Otherwise, happy with Hritik, Kangna, Kajol, Rang De Basanti wins. Hritik is a true performer and a great actor, no doubts. However, his best actor award for Dhoom2 is definetely misplaced, it was more of his action sequences than emoting true acting talent.

well the awards have been highly disappoiting.
i was shocked 2 see the best actor and best actress awards whats wrong with the filmfare guys and it is supposed 2 b the most imp awards of bollywood!
the only deserving ones were SAIF,KONKONA,ARSHAD,best film as rdb ,musical awards and in critics KAREENA surely deserved it this time!and i think after seeing KAJOL and ASH as the contenders for best actress KAREENA could hv won hands down if the awards had been fair enough,i mean she deserved it moe than anyone and so did AJAY DEVGAN.
as for HRITHIK i could hv still taken his best actor award for krissh which he has got earlier but dhoom2.....

What a totally biased show! As so many people above have commented ,I'd like to say the same-Filmfare Awards are a farce! They glorify time and again people who have won a hundred times before ,completely ignoring the truly deserving ones.
I wonder on what basis nominations in the playback singing category were made. Was it based on sheer popularity of the song or on how well a beautifully composed song has been sung? If it is the latter, I fail to understand how " Baawri Piya Ki " from the movie "Baabul" did not find a place in the nominations. One must admit that the song ,which has been composed by Aadesh Srivasta(Kudos to him!),has been sung to perfection by Sonu Nigam. And yet, there has been no mention of this song (Surprise ,surprise)!
Why pretend to recognise talent when the conclusion is decided way in advance? Put an end to this farce and reward people in an exclusive Bachhan-Yash Chopra-Karan Johar-ShahRukh ceremony instead of an "awards" ceremony. Atleast the term "awards" will not be made a mockery of !

I agree completely! The Filmfare awards recognizes overacting, not acting. Fanaa sucked--I am a huge kajol fan, but why is it that when somebody "acts" disabled, they win? the movie Black sucked btw (i couldnt torture myself watching more than 1 hr of the dam thing full of overacting). and hrithik is a great actor, but for dhoom2?!? puh-leez! dhoom2 was a joke. my american friends didnt get it when i told them that this was a major hit in india. it was stupid and has many scenes taken from different american movies. its not original!

Well the awards weren't bad from my point of view. They were well deserved especially the ones considering Rang de Basanti and Omkara. I think you all shouldn't have a problem because if you do, you either stop watching or don't comment. You can't even think how much these people try when the shoot these films, especially the ones you favour. I agree it was a kind of shock to hear Kajol getting Best Actress and some of the awards going to Yash Raj. But can we do, I didn't mind them getting the awards, just cause they're good and your jealous? Krrish was ful of special effects and shit, that's why it only got the technical awards which i didn't mind though it wasn't my favourite movie. And of course, you have to give an applaud to Sri Devi, who at this age, seemed as if she was in her 30's. Overall, the studio was well made as well. I think it wasn't a bad awards ceremony. Oh, and also, yeah sure filmfares was kissing the Bachchan's ass, just because Rang de Basanti and Omkara got many more awards? I'm SURE! Well, I'm looking forward to the Stardust review! Bye

I just think its pathetic, that all the performances were pre-recorded, and it couldnt be more obvious. It took all the fun out of watching the awards. Was really disappointed with the filmfare awards this year. And i Totally agree Hrithik roshan did NOT deserve the best actor award

just few awards were the deserving ones, But i have disliked the nominations right there when i didn't see Vivah and Dor in the list. However , Deepak Dobriyal as the best critics for Omkara is really appreciable, afterall how could anybody forget his presence as Rajjo in the movie. Amrita Rao must be there in the nomination list, sooraj barjatya and nageesh kukunoor must be there in the nomination list , but , they were not, this is really disgraceful.....

It shows you are from there. And it also shows you are affraid to recognize true value and stories. Hindi movies have their own beauty which must not be altered by any influence. They also must keep up to date to be taken into consideration by other major similar industries.

Many actors are good, but not all will ever be recognised or accepted by the west.
I am sorry I didn't see the show as I have no means here where I live to see it, but I am sure there have been some "get back" issues to be paid and that was the result.

I think best actor for the year 2006 was AKshay Kumar but sorry they forgot to nominate him HA HAHA HAH AHAH AH AHA AHAHAHA

The filmfare awards 2007 very bad to say such a false one that best actor HR for D2 and not krish.I like that RDB gots more awards including best film.I m also happy that Aamir bags the best actor award for RDB by critics. But nominations for best film does not includes Fanaa which is superhit movie of the year 2006. We r comparing filmfare awards with OSCER but see how wrong things r going with this awards . I think more lobbing is done by Yashji and Abhishek Bacchan.The best choreography should win by dhoom machale from Dhoom but it goes to beedi jalale how false is that? . Now it is really a time to change the attitude for filmfare awards by selection commetee

few years ago filmfare was considerd as bollywood ascar but now every year it is loosing its charm and fame.which is not a positive jesture.

None of them deserved it. Ayesha Takia did for Dor, who poor thing wasn't even nominated. Man! Money still talks at these awards. So what if they try to mimic the Oscars with the red carpet closed quarters function and all that, the deserving ones still aren't recognized.

Well I think the Flimfare was very biased. Hritik Roshan for best actor....NO, it should have been either Sanjay Dutt for Lage Raho Munna Bhai or Shahrukh Khan for DON. I also feel that Original is only one but I have seen both the DON movies but I truly feel that Shahrukh was very good in DON. Anyone else could have got the best actor award but not Hritik. But the best actress was deserving coz there was tough competition. But the nomination for Aish was just an impressing favour for Bachchan's. I hated her so much for that movie when she says LIKE. I think Amrita Rao and Ayesha Takia should have got the nominations atleast. Amrita Rao was so good in VIVAH. There wasnt even any nominations for VIVAH even. Its the name people go for not the acting or the talent. As people think there is no comparison b/n Aish & Amrita Rao but truly there isnt coz Amrita is such a good actress. And Aish, she doesnt even know how to laugh in the movies. Dont know these Filmfare Judges. I think Shahrukh being the MC was good but would have been more better when with Saif. And Critics awards is made for for critic movies eg Rang de Basanti, Omkara they fall under critic movies. They should be separate from the popular awards. And truly when Shahrukh said people dont accept reality in movies. They are still in their dreamworld. KANK showed the fact of life which is happening in our world. Extra Marital Affairs and Getting married for parents or Friendship or for money. Thats what was basically in that movie. Same for Kal Ho Na Ho, that was a fact movie. You cannot get married to someone who is about to die. That is just being stupid and Karan showed that it cannot happen rather then brining an Allien to earth and talk with him and so on............Kareena was deserving to have a critics award but no nomination in best actor for Ajay????????? Gosh thats why Kajol did not attend the award function...hahahaha.Best Villian was very much deserving.... A R Rahman was very deserving, even Shaan was deserving too. Jaya Bachchan did not deserve to have a lifetime award coz she just came back. Otherwise other awards were deserving though and Abhishek and Aishwariya were glued to each other. Dont you think they are a bit too much. And ofcourse she can do better for Abhishek ruin his life as she did for Salman and Vivek. Poor Abhishek.................................

Yes man, their nominee selection itself was worse. Sonu Nigam should have been nominated for Baawri Piya Ki, Sau Dard Hai, Mere haath mein, Ajnabi Shehar HAi, Keh Raha Hai etc. Baawri Piya was a near classic. Filmfare sucks!!

One more thing about their failed nominations. There is no Ajay Devgan in the nominee list for best actor, but HR for Krrish and D2. I'm not saying HR is not a good actor, but he certainly did not deserve the awards for D@ and Krrish. He should not have been nominated. SRK should have been nominated for the worst actor for the performance in KANK.

Best Debut (Female) Kangana Ranaut for Gangster & Sony - Fair One face of the year Kangana Ranaut are a nice justice for this newcomer.
