Papa Kahte Hain....Star Kids to Watch Out For

It's amazing how time flies. I still remember the day when Mithun's kid walked on to the stage and collected filmfare trophy on his father's behalf for Agneepath. Now he's ready to take on the criminals just like his dad did. He's not the only one who will try to prove his worth, there's a long list of star sons and daughters that will hit the silver screen soon.
So I thought I would do a post on who we should be looking out for:
Mimoh Chakraborty - Mithun Da's son is starring in not one but three movies. He - The Only One, Jimmy and Murderr (with an extra r in the end). Now he could turn out to be the action hero we've all been waiting for or he could just end up being just another cheese ball. But whatever the case, Mithun will leave no stones unturned to give his son the chance to become a superstar.
Ranbir Kapoor - Son of Rishi Kapoor and Nitu Singh will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya alongside a cushion of Salman Khan and Rani Mukherjee. This is a long time since a male from Kapoor family is joining the film industry. It will be interesting to watch if he'll be a success like his dad or a dud like Rajeev Kapoor. Ranbir has done two short films before this.
Sonam Kapoor - Daughter of Anil Kapoor will be seen opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Saawariya. If she is half as talented as her dad and takes beauty tips from him, we'll see a lot of her in next twenty years:-)
Sikander Kher - Now that Anupam Kher has already done the hard work, he wants his son to live his "Jawaani" without any struggles, like he wanted Raj Malhotra to do, but he ended up falling in love with a Punjabi girl and got beat up by his dad. But that's a different story. Sikander Kher will make his debut with Woodstock Villa, a movie directed by Sanjay Gupta and produced by Sanjay Dutt's White Feather films. The movie will have another new comer Neha Oberoi and will be a musical thriller like Teesri Manzil.
Jackie Bhagnani - Vashu Bhagnani's son is still waiting for his father to announce his launch vehicle. Not sure if it will be a single star movie or a multi-starrer comedy where his father made most of his moolah.
Harman Baweja - Harry Baweja is launching his son opposite Priyanka Chopra in the movie Love Story 2050. Seems very futuristic, but Priyanka has already romanced a super hero and gizmo freak Don so I think she can handle this futuristic Baweja dude easily.
Rahul Bhatt - Son of Mahesh Bhatt will be first seen in his Daddy's flick Suicide Bomber. Good thing Mahesh is not promoting this movie as based on his life story, otherwise the Interpol and Jack Bauer will lock him up. This is based on the bombings in London and how a normal man is forced to become a terrorist. Yawn, how many of these sob stories we'll have to sit through. I don't care if you were wronged, but killing innocent people is not an excuse, but this is a topic for a different blog. His son however looks rather geeky and not like the Hrithik's and Mimohs of the world, but I am sure a little surgery and a trainer can take care of that.
Soniya Mehra - Daughter of late Vinod Mehra will be seen playing Saira Banu's role in Victoria No. 203 with Om Puri and Anupam Kher. I don't have too many expectations from the movie, but if Soniya shows as much chest as her dad did, this could be a blockbuster :-) (I couldn't resist saying that). Well chest or no chest she does have a steamy towel number in this movie. Earlier Amrita Arora was supposed to do the role, but she dropped out and uncle Anupam recommended Soniya.
There are others who are also trying to get in like Aditya Pancholi's daughter, one of Shatru's twins and in a few years Jackie Shroff's son Tiger. That brings an interesting point, what happens to those people who spend tons of money rotting in film schools around India and hoping to be noticed one day? I know that these connections can open doors, but they don't guarantee success, however for those with no connections, an open door can mean a lot. One would argue that over the years the most successful stars have been from outside the industry, but then for every SRK and Amitabh there are 50 or 100 others that end up being waiters or going back to their small towns where they come from. I think the situation has improved a little with the rise of cable television, but Bollywood needs more smaller, independent movies to be able to discover those next Amitabhs, Shah Rukhs and Anupam Khers.

Out of these i think only Ranbir Kapoor and Soniya Mehra (with her chest thing..haha..nice one) stand any chance. Rahul Bhatt looks more like Kadar Khan's son. Mimoh's voice is lady like just as his face is Yogeeta Bali like.
Re: Papa Kahte Hain....Star Kids to Watch Out For
yeah Mimoh looks pretty useless.....he can be a villain though if they dub his voice.....I think Soniya Mehra is very cute....if she's good she can go far.....Ranbir Kapoor looks like Jugal Hansraj....I hope he doesn't fall for the Kapoor khandaan innocent guy routine.....
Re: Papa Kahte Hain....Star Kids to Watch Out For
hmm... i always wonder how can a talented guy can get into bollywood if his/her family has no links to bollywood. yes ... all these reality shows . so many people who want to prove themselves in bollywwod and move up the stardom. I know reality shows is a step in right direction.. but really..
any thoughts
Cheap stupid Article/Blog
Who really cares about your interpretation of the stars? And your comment on wanting to see Soniya Mehra's chest and seeing her in a towel was particularly cheap. You need to be a little more responsible before posting things over the internet.
