Nominations for 52nd Filmfare Awards

here we go again once again crap nomination. out of all of them dhoom 2. ha ha ha. come on dhoom 2 for best pic over omkara, khosla ka ghosla, pyar ke side effects. yeah it was a popular film but come on. don was nominated for best pic. srk for best actor in don??.  critics trashed the film. srk did a ok job but hardly praise worthy.  it seems that all he has to do is star in a karan johar film and he is guranteed that he is going to get an nominaton. KANK was a piece of crap film. but funny everybody in the film got nominated. ha ha ha. john was crap in babul he got nominated. where is anupam kher for khosla ka ghosla?? being cyrus? kabul express?  where is ajay devgan for omkara. why not best pic best director for omkara.
what hritik did in krrish was not acting but being a superhero. if that is the case then in hollywood tobey magurie and chritian bale shouldve been nomiated for spiderman and batman. absurd.  it seems that the films that do really well get the nominations.  also hritik did not act in dhoom 2. it was just him being him.  also what about kabul express. there were two supporting actors in the fim that deserved nominations.  arshad deserves nom for that film.
aish rai acted in umrao jaan not dhoom 2. you call that acting. where the heck is kangana for gangster??? for woh lamhe??? where is her nomination??? she is going to get that stupid best debut award. and if upen patel gets best debut over siddarth of rang de basanti help us lord.
nana patekar deserved best actor nom for taxi no.911. ditto for sonali kulkarni for supporting actress
bomi irani was not really negative in lage raho munnabhai. he was more of a comic guy.
since Shankar Eshan Loy are in big films with the johars and chopras they are getting undeserved nominations. don and kank were okay tracks. what about omkara??? bas ek pal??? every crtic said dhoom 2 music sucked so why the nomination. pritam shouldve nom for gangster.
the filmfare awards are reserved for srk, the chopras, karan johar, the roshans. it is their films or the highway. no wonder amir does not attend them. they are all full of crap.  
so disappointing once again.

Mr. Anonymous....you are right....there are so many good movies that are missing....but then again filmfare's criteria is user polls and if the public didn't think Omkara was good enough.....then it wasnt....

I think Bollywood needs to have something like an independent spirit awards to honor talents like Vishal Bhardwaj, Homi, Kabeer Khan etc. who do different stuff which is also appealing to a certain section of the society.....Ideally National Award should take care of that....but then it has its pitfalls too....

maybe the moviewalah.com guys should start their own award show and recognize these movies.....

Right, that Pakistani actor's name is Salman Shahid and he gave a very sincere performance. I watched Kabul Express recently and thought it was good in parts - at least a different attempt. Even that Aghan guide (Hanif Humghum) was good. Arshad Warsi was terrific yet again.

I think Filmfare is a popular magazine and survives on big stars. So, it needs to keep all big stars happy. Sometimes, it even goes to extent of creating new award category just to please a certain big star. Also, you will notice there are 6 nominations in some categories while 5 in most. Why that discrepancy? But obvious!

Amitabh Bachchan had banned press (or vice versa) for 15 years. Result: He did not get a single Filmfare Award although he was nominated and deserved for multiple movies almost every year. But the year the ban was taken off, he got Lifetime Achievement Award in 1991. And he won Best Actor Award for Hum the following year. Ain't that ridiculous?

how crap is this.. kank has the highest number of nominations.. nominations in all categories except negative role category and comic role category.. popular awards .. my foot!!
oh yea.. now i remember .. filmfare and kank had a tie-up for promoting the movie.. i wont be surprised if kank will get the maximum number of awards too!!

This gay Karan Johar has done it again. He is the most crappy man in film industry along with his gay partner srk.

I absolutely agree with your choices man. If only the awards pan out the same way! Filmfare, in my opinion has lost all credibility with their constant sucking up to Chopra-Johar-Khan camp. It irritates me no end also that Hrithik Roshan is nominated for Dhoom 2 in Best Actor category. If memory serves me right, the last time Sanjay Dutt won an award was for Munnabhai MBBS, where he was the hero of the movie, but he won for Best Comedian! So, Correct me if my memory serves me correctly, even though D2 listed Hrithik as first credit, wasn't Abhishek Bachchan the Good guy and Hrithik the villain. Even in the end, he only gets by because Abhishek lets him go! So Filmfare, and all its nominations are twisted, I give more credence to Screen awards to be frank.
However, If even 5 of your predictions are correct, I am a happy camper.

I absolutely agree with Vijay that Film fare awards are more power dominated than anything else.Probably "ART" and "TALENT" implies "CRAP" in Film fare's dictionary.No wonder it can choose to ignore an outstanding comedy like Malaamal Weekly in its list.The film is one of the most beautifully made comedies with a combination of legendary actors like Ompuri,Asrani and comedy king Paresh Rawal.How could they omit it ????????!!!!!!

SRK is rubbish and is very typical. He has no versetaliy in his acting. Filmfare love him for what reason i dont know. Salman Khan's acting in Jaan-e-mann was better than most of them on the list. It had everything (from comedy, emotion and action). Just because the film did not do too well at the box office, dose'nt mean he did not act well. I think filmfare do not like him and that is why he has never won the best actor.

Mithoon was good, no doubt. Even Atif can win it. He was superb as a singer.

And Best Newcomer should go to Siddharth  for Rang De Basanti (male) and Kangana Ranaut  for Gangster and Woh Lamhe (female) although I think Kangana did not act too well. But there is no better choice. Bad sign for Bollywood. All big heroines are getting old and not much of new talent.

Can anyone tell me what acting did Hrithik and Ash do in Dhoom 2 except for looking good? Non-sense! Salman Khan was so much better in Jaan-e-Mann. And what did Big B do in KANK? Instead, Akshay Kumar should have been nominated for Best Supporting Actor for Jaan-e-Mann. How come Emran Hashmi was villain in Gangster? I think he played a very positive role. How could they completely ignore Dor and Khosla Ka Ghosla? John Abraham for Babul? Why not Arshad Warsi for Kabul Express? Chunkey Pandey  for Apna Sapna Money Money??? plain bull-shit...

watever trevor ..well didnt like most of da movies but one really deserves applause....Lage raho Munna Bhai....the film itself is was flawless...its cast specially Snajay Dutt really delivered sum class acting..u go Sanjay....others were ok but LRMB waz da BOMB

What I'm most surprised about is the exclusion of the brilliant Omkara from the best film, best actor (ajay devgan who really cought the essence of Omkara well, and who was so much better than Hrithik in Dhoom 2) and the best music category. To me, Omkara's music is amazingly well done, and could have taken place of Dhoom 2, which was a huge disappointment. Omkara and RDB are the two films of the year in my opinion. It is a travesty when an effort as well done like Omkara goes unnoticed by the masses.

Plz at least this time kajol should win best actress award.She truly deserves it so please all jury members at least make one single decision up to the mark i beg you.

Even if Shahrukh Khan doesn't win any prize in any festival,anything will not change because he is the best actor in history of bollywood and will remain the best.

I agree with da comment about Srk and his stupid nominations. Even though I 'm a khan I'm no fan of srk. That man doesn't know how to act. Worthless piece of shit. He's the one that's making the film industry into a business that's only for the big names. KANK was a terrible movie, it was copied for hollywood movie closer and hollywood critics found that movie a piece of crap. We don't want to know about what couples do and how they cheat on each other. That happens in most households. Give us movies that teaches us soemthing and makes us proud. Like Lage raho munnabhai or rang de basanti, overall even though rang de basanti is winnning most of the awards I would have to say lage raho munna bhai is a better movie overall. It has a touching story and it clearly states it's message in a comical way which most movies can't even rang de basanti rajkumar hirani is a genius unlike karan johar who knows nothing about movies except how to make them look big and grand with a crap story. Neways these nominations are a piece of crap and no wonder our films never gets recodnized in hollywood because the indian film industry fails to recodnize our best films how can they.

Thank god they didn't send KANK TO HOLLYWOOD for best foreign film they would laugh at us and our film industry. Probably they would say "ya you guys make a lot of films but they are all crap"
