Top Actors post 2000
We all know who gave the maximum number of Bollywood hits in the last millennium. You do not need to be a genius to guess that. It's, but of course, Amitabh Bachchan. But then I was wondering who has given the most number of hits in the last seven years i.e. this millennium. Any guesses? Well, see for yourself below. I have listed number of hits of each of the top heroes post 2000.
P.S.: In some cases, even though the movie might not have done so well, the performance called to be listed here. The ranking is based primarily on these factors: Performances, No. of Hits, Screen Presence and Influence/Power of the Actor, which led me to create three brackets.

List looks good. But as Gurubhai says we should not look in the past. Instead look forward. Going by that my list would be:

This happens to be the Filmfare Power List for year 2006. Aamir Khan delivered two of the biggest hits in ‘Rang De Basanti’ and ‘Fanaa’. He has also been adjudged as one of the three top actors (other two being Shahrukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan) who genuinely excites Box Office by his mere presence. And he happened to be at the fourth position in 2005 when he had delivered a turkey in ‘Mangal Pandey’. So, is there more to Aamir’s name not being in the fray this time….
Yes. Surely. Earlier the Film Awards in Bollywood were labeled as ‘biased’ and ‘rigged’. Now, even all these power lists are fast losing credibility too. The reason for Aamir’s exclusion is obvious. For, he had allegedly sued Filmfare last year to the tune of Rs 19 crore for using his photograph for promoting the Filmfare Awards (he had been nominated in the best actor category for ‘Mangal Pandey’).
Apparently a ‘reliable’ survey team took opinions of 200 top technicians and filmmakers before coming to the final picture. But it’s quite clear, Aamir’s exclusion has a design to it than mere ‘true polling figures’.

Its amazing to me that for how long these dumb fucks have sold their rotten opinions to Indian public and call themselves the dream merchants......well much like everything in India this one has gotten by without being questioned or a complete boycott.....Filmfare magazine has been whoring itself to those who are willing to pay and buy the awards......they don't really care about what is real and how to award real performances.....I agree most awards are rigged and you can't satisfy everyone......but when you are publishing somethin like a powerlist you better make sure that everyone on it has some power....Rani Mukherji is on the list? for what.....just because they had to throw a chick in there? I am not even going to talk about Aamir and Sanjay missing from the list and SRK making it after making two highly questionable movies this year.....(can't help it I just did)......Also I can't remember what movie did Sanjay Leela Bhansali make this year?
who fucking comes up with these lists and how much do these guys get paid? I would love to do that job where I have to use my ass as brains and also get paid for it.....

Filmfare Power List for 2006 is total crap. I would say the list above by Vijay makes more sense. At least it's based on some merits. And the criteria is there for everyone to see. Any commnets on my futuristic list above?

Filmfare awards and this power list crap is all rigged. What happened to all those small budget really nice movies. Not a single nomination? Its a joke. I can't believe Aamir Khan name is not even in a star power list. No wonder why he doesn't go to any of those filmi awards because they don't mean a horseshit to him. They are all rigged. There is too much politics inside. Aamir keep up your good work and keep giving us a good films. Your work means lot to us than this stupid award shows and star power list. You are way ahead and you should tell them a lori to filmfare wallahs how it feels to walk on the red carpet at Oscars.

also,pre 2000 amitabh was not the hero with most hits.it was either dharmendra or dev anand!

Mr Anonymous, do you think the movies you mentioned above for Sunny Deol were hits? Barring Gadar and to some extent The Hero and Apne, I don't think so. Also, check your facts on Dharmendra and Dev Anand. They are legends no doubt but they have not given more hits than Amitabh. And as far as Bobby is concerned, less said the better.
