Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? Prove It!!

I am not questioning your intelligence here, but apparently Mark Burnett is. The producer of famous shows like Survivor and The Apprentice is back with another reality show, which according to Peter Liguori, Fox Entertainment President will measure "how dumb you are".

The show aims to bring every parent's nightmare - being exposed for not knowing what's in  your kid's school textbook - on national television. And by national I mean US :-)

Fox Networks won the contract over other networks and will air the new reality show " Are you Smarter Than a Fifth Grader" sometime later this year. Adults will compete in a quiz based on questions from elementary school textbooks. Actual elementary school students will be on hand as "experts" for the adults to consult with.

Liguori says that the reason Fox won the rights to the show, because he was the only executive who could answer all six questions from the show correctly. That's not a reflection on how smart he is, but really how dumb the other executives are - no wonder they come up with such brain dead programming on television.
