What2Watch4 in 07: Hollywood Edition

Howz It!! After my delayed Bollywood list, here's even further delayed Hollywood list. Now unlike Bollywood, Hollywood movies get a lot of coverage and web presence so a number of you would be really familiar with this list of movies. We have also put previews of some of these movies in the past so if it seems like a recap, then I apologize. I just want to bring you the movies that "I" am looking forward to see and hope that some of you would be looking forward to the same ones.....so here goes

Pirates of the Caribbean 3 - I thought 2 was kinda weak, but you know I'll give it a benefit of doubt and watch the third one. Plus I don't like to be left hanging, I like to see a story end and end nice.

Spiderman 3 - Spidey 1 was average, 2 was awesome and from the trailer third edition looks even better. So I can't wait for my favorite spider. See the trailer here.

Grindhouse - Tarantino and Rodriguez together, 2 movies for the price of 1. Hell yeah I'm in!! trailer here.

300 - I saw the trailer and you saw it too, here. Is there anything about the trailer that makes you say you don't want to watch it? Nothing? I thought so too:-)

Smokin' Aces - Jeremy Piven is one actor that I have grown to admire in the last one year or so and specifically because of his great performance in the show Entourage. He plays the role of a snitch who needs to get popped in this one and not by one but by 6-7 different assasin groups. That's a great situation to be in!! The movie comes out sometime in January, watch the trailer here. 

Blink - You can't have a list of anticipated movies of 07 without a Leonardo movie. Directed by Stephen Gaghan who made the awesome, Traffic and Syriana this one could be a great movie. Co-directed by Vivek Sharma who was a co-producer in the awful Indian Fight Club. Look out for more information on this one.

Ocean's 13 - I didn't think I was going to put this one in here, but you know what I know I am going to watch it so why not just add it to the list. Plus this one has Al Pacino in it. Do you think we'll live to watch an Ocean's 100? that'll be a huge crew to manage, they might need Generals from the military to supervise because I don't think Clooney will be able to manage that.

Zodiac - David Fincher, the director of Se7en and Fight Club returns with a serial killer movie. Sounds interesting huh? It has Jake Gyllenhal, Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo in it. We have not covered this movie here, but the trailer is below. 

Number 23 - Everytime Jim Carrey steps of the comedy band wagon, he delivers gold. He's probably the most under rated actor in Hollywood. The trailer is very intriguing and I will be sure to watch it. Joel Schumacher who did Phone Booth, 8 mm and Phantom of the Opera, directs. The trailer is below.

Lions for Lambs - Tom Cruise is one actor we all love to hate, but he probably has the most impressive resume in Hollywood. This movie is directed by Robert Redford who acts in it too along with Meryl Streep. It's a story about a platoon of soldiers in Afghanistan!! gimme those war movies any day YO!!

Transformers - This one barely made it to my list, for one I am not a big sci fi fan and second I didn't grow up on Transformers. The reason I am putting this here is that it's one of the most anticipated movie of the year and I'll go watch it for some action. Directed by Michael Bay, trailer is below, judge it for yourself.

Shrek the Third - Who's ready for Thirds? I know I am and why not, the first two were good and from the trailer the third one looks great too. Watch it here.

Well that brings me to the end of the list of what I am looking forward to in 07. There are some other movies too like Die Hard 4, Assassination of Jesse James, The Epic Movie etc. which I might end up watching, but didn't think they were high enough on the interest level to be mentioned here.
