Shilpa Shetty Goes Hollywood
First it was Babel and now its Forever. Rumor has it that Shilpa Shetty is all set to star in Forever, directed by Roger Mende (he has a long list of unrecognizable movies to his credit). The movie is about a mother who dies while giving birth to a daughter, but her soul takes over the daughter's soul. This story/rumor was published by IndiaTimes a few days ago and has been doing the rounds of blogosphere.

Indiatimes.com reports today that Bollywood superstar Shilpa Shetty will be starring in the upcoming Horror film “Forever” directed by Roger Mende and might star Dennis Hopper and Edward Furlong who are in negotiations, Camille Solari and Charles Wesley. Shilpa plays Amrita Ledew.
Synopsis: A story about a woman who dies while giving birth to her daughter, and the mother’s soul takes on the soul of the daughter.“Forever” is written by Roger Mende and Camille Solari and should start filming in early November.
IndiaTimes got their news from IMDB, which we have seen has pulled stupid stuff in the past. So I think this could just be another one of those. Another reason is that Shilpa's also denied being a part of any such movie. I mean it's not like she has been signed by Tarantino and he's asked her to keep it quiet. If she was actually doing this movie, she'd be the first one to tell all the reporters. Look at Aishwarya Rai, she hasn't starred in any half decent Hollywood flick and according to the media she's already a "global superstar".
Anyways I thought this was some stupid Monday morning stuff you'll like, enjoy it while the rumor lasts.

With Deepa Mehta's "Water" as his launch pad, John Abraham could definitely break into Hollywood. Would love to see it, too!
Problem is, while American TV is full of hunks, Hollywood films rarely give them much work. What blockbusters has Brad Pitt had in the last 10 yrs? Ironically, Indians are much more comfortable with the concept of hunk as lead actor than Americans are.
Shilpa doesn't need
Shilpa doesn't need Hollywood, because Hollywood is not about glamor and the celebration of feminine beauty. Shilpa, the world's most beautiful diva, just needs more film releases in India.
