First Look: Casino Royale 007

Casino Royale is the 21st James Bond film produced by EON Productions and the first to star Daniel Craig (previously seen in Layer Cake) as British Secret Service agent James Bond. Based on the 1953 novel Casino Royale by Ian Fleming, it was adapted by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and Academy Award-winning screenwriter Paul Haggis (Crash, Flags of our Fathers) and directed by Martin Campbell, director of the 1995 Bond film, GoldenEye.
This film marks the third screen adaptation of Ian Fleming's first Bond novel, which was previously produced as a 1954 television episode and a 1967 film spoof.
Casino Royale is actually the first novel written by Ian Fleming and the movie is a reboot of the franchise in the same light as Batman Begins. After obtaining his 00-number and his licence to kill, James Bond sets out on his first mission which takes him to Madagascar to spy on a potential terrorist. Soon after, Bond is pulled into a game of high-stakes poker in Montenegro with Le Chiffre, who provides a global money-laundering service to many terrorist organisations. Even though the novel shows us the beginning of Bond, the movie is set in modern times, which struck me as a bit odd, but I'll have to see the movie before I pass any judgement on that.
The trailer of the movie has been on the web for sometime now and I was lazy not to put it up here, but now since the movie is up for release ( Nov 17th), I thought it's time. When I saw it the first time, it made me think about the new Don movie and how Farhan could have made this movie more interesting, by taking us to the beginning of Don, rather than remaking it. I think it would have been a great concept to show us a prequel to the original Don and how he became a ruthless and cold mafia kingpin. Although I was very disappointed by the effort put forth by Farhan, I think it could turn into a great franchise in Bollywood.
But I digress again, coming back to Bond, as you will see from the trailer, that the newest edition is more serious, slicker and has a much needed younger looking James Bond. Watch out for the last scene in the trailer when the car turns at least 4 times in the air before crashing....MONEY!!

wow this looks like one of Bond's best since Golden Eye....
I agree we should have a movie about Don's beginning....more like a prequel to the earlier Don and this time it should be made by Chandra Barot and should star Abhishek Bachchan....
