Bollymeter - Sep 2006
Statistics, Ranks, Awards, Numbers, Earnings .... these hold special place in movie fans' minds. There is but one winner, however, if you ain't the first, does not mean you are the last!
This Bollymeter will track the ranking of the top actors in the current year. The overall rank is a weighted average of several parameters, including but not limited to, number of releases, number of hits, number of flops, actor's contribution in making or breaking the movie, critical acclaim, and of course, verdict on the street.
Here's the list for Sep 2006.

Rani might not have been at her best in KANK but she has Baabul coming soon. Hope she sheds less tears in Baabul. |

Aap Ki Khatir has brought down Priyanka's stock. She needs to enter Yash Raj Banners and avoid cheesy flicks to remain in Top 10. Krrish won't be able to sustain her here for too long. |

Preity was sidelined in KANK. With Jaan-e-Mann she might be in the headlines again. |
 10. Mallika Sherawat

Mallika in Top 10??? Well, no matter how much you dislike it, she did reasonably well with Pyaar Ke Side Effects. Ask Mani Ratnam! |

Sharman Joshi? I think Shahid Kapoor is more deserving to be on the list than him.....

Shahid Kapoor? Who is he? That kid? He does not even look like a Hero. List looks good. But where is Aish? I think she is the reigning queen with Umrao Jaan releasing soon. BigB is also missing. Good to see Aamir at the top and Munna-Circuit duo in Top 10.

by the logic that Kareena Kapoor is number 1 because of 36 china town and chup chup ke.....I think Shahid even though he's a kid, deserves to be in top 10 and so does Paresh Rawal who has single handedly carried movies like malamal weekly, chup chup ke and 36 china town....he has more star value than Sharman Joshi
Well, to put the records
Well, to put the records straight, Shahid Kapoor is at No. 11 in MovieWalah's rankings for Sep 2006. You cannot compare a hero's ranking with that of a heroine. It's not only about the hit movies, Bollymeter also takes into account the actor's contribution and performance besides negative points for flop/bad movies. For eg.: You see Sanjay Dutt below Hrithik Roshan although they both have given big hits in Krrish and Lage Raho Munnabhai respectively. That's because he also had two flops Tathastu and Anthony Kaun Hai.
Your view on Paresh Rawal has been noted. Thanks for suggestion. We would consider that going forward.

sum of the names i dont even know and all i want to say is amita desurves to be 2nd and kajol is still in list but her a kareena should change ther places cuz i love the movie fanna and one thing gud about the list is they dont have ash i like her but her movie umrao jaan she looked great but acted bad rekha should have still had umrao jaans part she looks stunning
