Nirbheek Khabari will soon unleash his journalistic prowess on this site, he's been slow to start but he's working on some interesting stuff. While the stew is brewing, here're some tidbits to chew on.....

Shakira did a Bollywoodesque item number during the MTV Video Music Awards few days ago, which was choreographed by none other than Farah Khan. Apparently Shakira is so impressed by Farah's moves that she plans to incorporate the "desi thumkas" in her next video. According to Farah Khan, “she (Shakira) is definitely clued in to Bollywood dance and wants me to incorporate it in her next music video, which she wants me to direct for her.'’

Farah Khan is also trying to get the international performer to do an item number in her forthcoming movie Om Shanti Om. Shakira is visiting Mumbai in March and the things will get finalized then. So while you are waiting to see Shakira do a "Chhaiya Chhaiya" for Farah, you can watch her "Hips Don't Lie" moves at the VMA below....

In another news item....Will Smith's production company Overbrook Entertainment has signed up with Bollywood's very own UTV to produce two movies that will be distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment everywhere except India. UTV will put in $10 Million and $20 Million in each of the two movies. One of these movies is a live-action movie and the other one is a computer graphics animated motion picture. The deal regarding the two movies was finalized in February this year when Will Smith visited India. Smith said, "“We are particularly excited to have an animation project with India since the country is emerging as the next big destination for animation content.”

UTV is also co-producing  a Chris Rock movie and Mira Nair's Namesake, starring Tabu, Irfan Khan and Kal Penn with Fox Searchlight Pictures.
