And ever since then, there has hardly been an year (with exceptions of 2000, 2002-2004) when Aamir Khan has not given a memorable performance or a hit movie. You don't believe this! 19 years, 19 memorable movies! How many of the contemporary actors can boast of that? Agreed, some have given more hits. But how many of those would you remember for ever? Besides, if you add the range of characters performed, there is no parallel. Need I say more? How often have we discussed the scenes of QSQT, Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Andaz Apna Apna, Rangeela, Sarfarosh, Lagaan, Dil Chahta Hai and Rang De Basanti! Agreed, but Mangal Pandey did take an historic opening shattering all previous first week collection records. Movie might have been a let down but not Aamir.
Aamir is a character actor
Aamir is a character actor and a good one. What I dont like about Aamir.
1. He fiddles too much with a director.
2. He does n't have larger than life charisma
3. I am not sure it will matter to most people but his personal life is not something you would be proud about. (Second marriage)
